  • Paid classified ads are placed online and are included in our affiliated printed material (if any) if the ad does not expire before printing.  Due to a variable amount of reader submitted content and our printer’s page count limitations we do not guarantee that free classified ads will make it into the printed editions.
  • Free classified ads run for 10 days.
  • You can be in control of your message. Use our online options or we will assist you over the phone with your paid advertising needs.

  • Classified Ads which are text ads.  Personal classified ads are free.  Vehicles of any type except farm equipment, real estate of any type including rentals, mobile homes and any ads placed in the services category are $7.50 per 10 days.
    If you elect to have your ad FEATURED on the front page the fee is $10.00 for ten days.  You may choose to post your ad in additional categories along with your featured ad for no extra charges.
  • Display Ads which are the graphic ads located on the right side of each page on the website

All classified ads placed online are included in the printed edition without additional charges.

Display ads can be completed online by anyone if they have their own graphics to upload.  If you are ready to purchase a display ad and have your own graphics (336 x280 pixels), CLICK HERE.

If you need a graphic created for your ad, please call our office at 251-649-5511 or use the form at the bottom of this page to send us your ideas for your ad and we contact you asap.  We can create most ads for $25 and keep in stock for future use.  You own the ad and can e-mail a copy of it in case you would like to use it elsewhere.

All advertising is paid using PayPal at the time of placing the ad. You do not need a PayPal account to use their service. PayPal accepts all major debit and credit cards.

Sub-Section Header ads

These are large ads (600 x 300) placed at the top of  sub-sections of Talk Of Semmes. What is a sub-section?  Place your cursor on any navigation button and the menu that opens beneath is a sub-section. As an example, place your cursor on the “SCHOOLS” navigation button and beneath it will appear “Allentown Elementary”, “Semmes Elementary” and “Semmes Middle School.” – these are the sub-sections of “SCHOOL.” We accept up to three commercial sub-section header ads and up to three personal sub-section header ads (congratulations on your graduation, happy birthday, etc.).  All ads rotate in sequence 5 to 10 seconds apart. 

Sub-Section Sponsor ads

These are large ads (600 x 300) placed at the bottom of  sub-sections of Talk Of Semmes.  We accept up to three commercial sub-section sponsor ads and up to three personal sub-section sponsor ads (congratulations on your graduation, happy birthday, etc.).  All ads rotate in sequence 5 to 10 seconds apart. Sub-Section Support ads are primarily used as a permanent or semi-perminent page sponsorship or used as a call-to-action or bonus addition to support a Sub-Section Header Ad.

Banner ads
Eye-catching positioning in the left column, right column, or at the bottom of news content. Links are also available to your yellow page listing, your website, webpage, a display ad, or an insert ad.
Display ads
